WHY THIS EXISTS
Most professions that face trauma every day don't have a support system waiting for them when the shift ends.
They show up to the hardest scenes, hold it together for everyone else, and go home alone with nowhere to put it.
Wellness Forward exists because that has to change.

WHERE IT CAME FROM
33 years on the front lines — and what was missing.
Rob Z. Christensen spent 33 years as a career firefighter with the Boise Fire Department — and during that time, he saw firsthand what proactive mental wellness programs could do. Peer support. Performance psychology. Trauma-informed training.
When those tools were in place, careers were saved. Relationships survived. People stayed.
But he also saw what happened when they weren't.
That gap — between the people who need support and the systems that were never built to provide it — became the foundation for Wellness Forward.
His documentary, An Act of Service, has reached audiences nationwide — and the BRAVE Framework he developed from 30 years on the front lines is now helping people in professions far beyond the firehouse reclaim their health, their presence, and their lives.
